Pretty fun game! I liked the fishes that help you out when you really need em. I'm also glad you can hold onto the mouse instead of clicking individually otherwise this game would be impossible! I also recommend adding more soundtracks or at least a mute button. The audio portal here has tons of music you can use for this game.

Nice work, keep it up!

Thanks for you great review. The song there is just a place holder for now but thanks for the advice i will definitely check out the audio portal. Stay tuned for more updates :)

Caught me completely off guard...

It's rather unlike me to completely overlook the author's comments, but in a way I was really eager to see what this game was about. My initial impressions were as I expected - cheery music and colorful scenery.... I wish I had been more observant earlier. When the game shifts gears, as I mentioned before, I was completely not ready for it. I know it may sound silly, but I got pretty spooked during the final stages of the game. I do hope that there may be a creepypasta story to parallel the plot, because there are a lot of questions that remain unanswered after finishing this game. Perhaps that was your intention to leave it open to the audience, ah well.

I enjoyed the game. The retro style you employed added to and defined the disturbing experience. There is something about cute and adorable things that cut even deeper when made into something morbid and terrifying. To that, you've succeeded to achieve that effect with me at least. Well done.

This submission is exemplary.

Indeed one can see why "Pyroscape" has earned the full ten. There is a bounty of action, spectacular visuals, sensational humor, and a broad diversity of game play to be experienced. Moreover this submission deserves praise for it's educational value for safety and good health; calling the player an idiot while trying to touch a burning object is a stroke of brilliance and humanistic concern. Words cannot describe the rush from confronting each successive trial and trying to avoid a horrific, fiery demise.

A MUST PLAY.

It's important that our youth is educated properly. :)

There are some things to fix

The game itself is decent and simple to play, but it's riddled with bugs that should be fixed.

For example, when you die once, you repeatedly die like 3 more times until you run out of lives. Unless those three explosions count as 1 death then disregard that.

TEACH MEGAMAN TO SHOOT UP! The bosses are too high to hit and since the player cant aim vertically they're immune to our attack. Sure weapon upgrades and everything but that shouldn't make some bosses impossible without them.

Make megaman jump higher, it'd make it a lot easier for us to land on the platforms and not fall do our deaths.

That's about it so far. Make those improvements and then resubmit.

I like what you're doing here Rohan and Corky :)

Honestly up until now I never thought that the NGPD would have it's own place in a flash submission aside from the one made by Zekey [which is filled with LIES] :P You did a very nice job explaining each crew and the proper etiquette for posting. I'm very pleased with the informative value. Heck, even I learned a thing or two! However I would've liked to have had a broader choice in audio.
Visuals were simple and non-flamboyant, which is actually preferable in this kind of flash.

Thanks for the flash guys! Hopefully this will attract more potential recruits :)

Thanks for the review Tails, glad you liked it!

Probably could have included audio selection, definitely something to look at in the future.

This is real good stuff Rohan and Corky

This was indeed better than the first one, it's much more expansive and contains a lot of tips for maximizing one's chances of increasing their whistle points. I especially liked the quiz part, what a wonderful idea!

Overall, a commendable effort to assist our fellow NG'ers towards better serving the portal. If you ever plan on turning this project into a trilogy, would you mind if I participate? Anyways, awesome submission!

... and tell Corky it wasn't his fault :)

RohantheBarbarian responds:

I don't know about a trilogy, but I shall certainly keep it in mind.

I am happy that the leader of the NGPD found this helpful, and thanks for the review.

Nice work

I think its about time Newgrounds got a flash on how to properly whistle submissions, so this is a job well done and many users will find this very handy. It was pretty in-depth and contains your personal account so the audience knows why they should avoid screwing up lol. I'll be looking forward to the improved version too :)

10/10!

RohantheBarbarian responds:

Thanks for reviewing, glad you liked it!

The sequel covers different topics than this one, and should be submitted either today or tomorrow, keep an eye out for it!

Seriously awesome!

I love these drakojan games and this one is nothing short of amazing especially the graphics and art quality! Keep it up!

It's okay but still needs some more work

You should make the gameplay a little more fluent and exciting. It would be great if you would add more songs with different patterns to give the game some more diversity. Maybe some additional (unlockable) characters like Yoshi and Luigi?

Yay NG Yearbook of '06!

Pretty funny photos and stuff, some pics confused me though :P I like my spot on the center of the 3rd page on the signatures.... too bad my name looks like crap XD Good work on the memory book, it was definitely worth the lolz!

Prellz responds:

Thanks a bunch! ^_^
