Soar Away

"Near perfect bliss"

submission: Soar Away
date: August 18, 2009

It's a very simple melody, but you make it grand and uplifting with fantastical liveliness. The only (minor) flaw is at the very end; it cuts off too quickly and I don't know whether you wanted to hold that note for a finale or set up for a clean loop. Aside from that, listening to this track was a joy and a privilege.

Keep up the great work!

Bramble Blast

"How can I not love this?"

submission: Bramble Blast
date: June 9, 2009

It's really mellow and relaxing overall, at least to me it does, and enjoyably so. They should've put this as Brawl's main menu song or something - options at LEAST. Forget release dates, this is gold! The electric guitar was simple but added just the right touch of flare which made this piece that much greater. I'm kinda getting my hands on guitars myself hehe.

Keep up the awesome work, Evan :)

Haunted -- Mix

"Well done, I see potential"

submission: Haunted -- Mix
date: May 4, 2009

I think this piece sets the perfect mood for virtually every build up horror scene. Ominous, but not audacious - a masterful balance of tension and subtlety that does justice for any dark cinematic situation. Better still, it loops very well, I wouldn't be able to tell if I heard this in a movie.

Author's Response:

Wow, thanks Tails. I thought it did that as well. I don't know why some people are griping just because it's short, it makes no sense to gripe about the length if you ask me. Anyway, thanks again.

Your comments perfectly envisions the mood for this piece so all those cheery images have been floating in my head. I wish life could be like this song a little more often, ya know?

Nice work.

Down To Earth - Fierra & Lira

"absolutely remarkable"

date: March 29, 2009

I could literally listen to this track over and over again and still be left speechless everytime. However, I feel that the vocal was off beat because it began a tad bit early. On that same note it wasn't an issue throughout the song, only the beginning.

Anyways, this is extremely impressive for someone your age. I wish you success in your future endeavors. I think I'll listen to this at least 5 more times.

Haruhi Suzumiya - Kyon Opening

"Very nice."

date: March 23, 2009

The inflections and fluidity in your speech were remarkable. You captured Kyon's cynical and reluctant tone surprisingly well. The only thing I think that kept you from a deal with KyoAni was that you probably need a little more bass in your voice to get Kyon's voice spot on. Regardless this is an impressive demo.

Nice work.

Cerebral Infection

"Needs more adrenaline"

submission: Cerebral Infection
date: February 12, 2008

When I hear DnB music, I think of something that's exploding with well... drums and bass. I highly suggest that you find better sounds for drums for any future DnB tracks, the ones here are too wimpy for the genre in my opinion. I was hearing "pop", I want "POW!" Bass was ok, but it never hurts to try something with more testosterone.

COME ON, MAKE MY EARS BUST WITH POUNDING BEATS!

Iowa is for Lovers (v1)

"Hahaha, you ol' comedian XD"

date: January 29, 2008

Most would think that with a melody and a title like this you'd be dead serious with the lyrics. Seems I was wrong, but I was especially pleased with the the liberated and care-free words, which really doesn't make sense but forces you to crack that smile. Then again, this was made by a wacko rofl ;)

By the way, you've progressed substantially on the guitar since last time I heard! Awesome work!

Zelda OoT: Forest Echoes

"You have every reason to be proud of this one."

date: September 22, 2007

Ah it's been too long since I wrote you a review. But in all honesty, this is easily the greatest display of your skill and prowess for music. I hope this piece gets the praise and veneration that it deserves.
I can see it now... some Zelda fan making a flash will jump for joy once they hear this melody, promptly followed by a swift download and importation to their flash file.

A powerful and emotionally moving masterpiece that could only be bestowed upon by the great LimblessAvenger himself.

As always, 10/10 AND I MEAN IT THIS TIME! " :)

you used something other than that plain piano sound in the beginning. If the piano resonated more or use something more "electronic" then it would've fit with the rest of the track. Other than that, I think this is a pretty good start.

Author's Response:

well, your right. i know the piano was pretty weak, but i just wanted to put something new on here. :P
